We've had plenty of threads debating to pro's and cons of where the planned new stadium should be and why it should be a certain size etc.
Here's a thread to stay positive on, just a poll as to how big a stadium, in an ideal world, you would like the Force to be playing on and find a stadium on www.worldstadiums.com that represents the look/size/feel for what you would like.
This isn't about politics, insider knowledge or take what you are given.
Just a little bit of dreaming about "what would rock" in Perth.

Well I'll get the ball rolling:
Regardless of size, I would like the stadium to look like either-
The Ulsan Big Crown Stadium, South Korea http://www.worldstadiums.com/stadium...an_munsu.shtml
The City of Manchester Stadium http://www.worldstadiums.com/stadium..._stadium.shtml
or, Suncorp in Brisbane with a rounded edge to the roof rather than a square! http://www.worldstadiums.com/stadium..._suncorp.shtml

Just returned from a trip to NZ where I was fortunate to see the Hurricannes v Blues from the members area in the Cake tin.
the members area encompassed three floors, each having bars & eating areas throughout. You could either view the match from behind the glass windows or go out into the open stand.Wherever you were was within 30 meters of a bar or food outlet. You could choose fast food or a sit down meal & every thing inbetween. There was almost an unlimited choice of beverages.
the viewing areas were superb
this is the type of facillity that we must demand.
Makes our current member facillities look positively 3rd world in comparison
its not always about the size of the stadium, its also about the facilities once your there, bars with views of the ground, food outlets, merchandise store ect. id rather be at a full 35,000 stadium than a half full 60,000 stadium
M.E. Nearly as it right just 10,000 more and better parking and thats it
Burgs I know you like our Suncorp which is 52.5k, Manchester is 48k and Ulsan 43.5k. The last one is the more possible stretch for WA Govt, and would be big enough for Wallaby and Socceroo matches plus the 30k+ Force crowds.
Atmosphere can be maintained by blocking off the higher tiers, as they do for Reds games at Suncorp , where crowds are around 22k+.
If Subiaco is around 43k now, then you have a good idea as to the vibe of an Ulsan size stadium-but of course it would be better because its rectangular.
That's all a possible pitch to take to the govt, an Ulsan stadium built in one hit. The other is a stadium that is built in stages over a decade, as the Gabba rebuild was done, whilst a quarter of Suncorp was built (corporate & press boxes) more than a decade before the final 3/4 was done in one hit. Maybe Members Equity falls more into that schedule. This may be more achievable than a spanking new stadium at present.
Focus on a stadium model. Build it in stages over a decade.
Get the ARU, A-League Glory and NRL interested, and the new stadium would be in use all year round.
from little things, big things grow...
I may have dreamt it, but I'm sure I read somewhere that there was a concept to build units into the end of a major English stadium.
So, one end was private balconies as a block of accomodation.
Can't remember any more or if it was private or hotel etc but that would be a pretty amazing concept anyway AND help to pay the bills!
