Having spotted the following passionate Cheetahs supporters proudly sporting their Currie Cup replica hemets at the Force match I got to thinking what could we do to create something in a similar and lighthearted vein?
The Cheetahs Currie Cup Helmets
The only thing which we have to show for the first year in Super 14 is the wooden spoon.
So, I thought, instead of having opposition supporters using that against us all season, why not embrace the whole wooden spoon situation as if paying a right of passage or the like?
So, with the fear of total ridicule ever present, I give you the mock up of (drum roll please)
The Force Wooden Spoon Helmet
Now, the question is, is there anyone out there who would be game enough to wear it?
I would if others were, even if only to the first match.
The helmets are easy enough to get, around $20 from my local mine however a couple of the fellas on TWF may be able to get them at a more suitable "rate"
It would be a case of purchase the sticker required from The Force Shop and post it through with the agreed amount and then pick it up pre match ateasy!
The other stickers we would have to get made up and the back "Member 2006" may need to b replaced with a more inclusive yet witty message as well.
Remember it is a mock up, not how it would look at the end.
I propose that any proceeds would go to our beloved TWF.
Anyway, it's (finally) up the flag pole now, do we have anyone brave enough to salute it?
"Bloody oath we did!"
Nathan Sharpe, Legend.
Reckon over zealous security wouldnt let them into Subi. Potential weapon, missile?
the punters friend..... stick with me and you will be wearing
hmmmmmmmmm........................I'll stick with my force blue light sabre..

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!" - Rocky Balboa

Might have to give them away on here in coming weeks ...
Dear Lord, if you give us back Johnny Cash, we'll give you Justin Bieber.
What, you won't be waving them at the game yourself, Coach?
If they did cans at the game - Sure, but it'll be hard to balance a plastic cup of watered down lite beer on each side - especially with all the jumping up and down with all the tries we'll be scoring next year!
BTW - sorry I couldn't mooch anymore free beer of you today, Fulvio - had to decorate the Christmas tree with the wee ones....
