Great news from a throw away line at the end of Knuckles' Rugby Heaven article:
While the Wallabies will play Wales and Fiji next year, Australia A will be playing in a Pacific tournament against New Zealand A, Fiji, Samoa, Tonga and Japan as a build-up for the World Cup.
Every bit of extra exposure our second string players can get is a great thing.
I am a little unsure how this time frame may chew into the new Provincial Comp though?
"Bloody oath we did!"

Oh interesting, that comp was run this season with out Aus A and it seemed to work... and surely it might mean a game in Canberra.
I agree Burgs, more exposure to the second string players can only be a good thing in the big picture. Australia really needs to develop a larger pool of talent to draw on in case of injuries or retirements. Otherwise we will always be on the back foot looking for equal, or at least adequate, replacements to field against quality opposition such as NZ, who have probably three tiers of players who could slot into any possie at the drop of the hat
Worked okay with the ANZC this year. Might be a bit of overlap with the full International program, but what the heck the ARU are contracting their players, so get em doing some work.Originally Posted by Burgs
