Cameron Shepherd, Western Force and Wallabies fullback

WESTERN Force and Wallaby fullback Cameron Shepherd tells of being back in the gymnasium after breaking his leg against France in Brisbane.
After nine weeks I'm finally plaster and 'boot' free. It feels so good to be able to walk around in normal shoes again, almost.

When I've been in the gym or walking around for a while the foot swells up and gets too fat for my shoes, so I still look a bit odd at times.

I'm trying to step up the rehab at the moment and doing two sessions a day in the gym.

I was always doing sessions to keep up my upper-body strength, but now comes the hard work.

I've been told not to rush things and luckily I've got a few months before we get into training full swing.

Wonderful stuff - glad he is getting better - hope he doesn't push his recovery to hard

Good read, hopefully Perth Now continue with this great column. It gives us a nice insight into our players and what they are up to.

Also great to read positive journalism, maybe the "professional" journalists will learn that you do not have to write about doom and gloom all the time.
