QC report unlikely to cause any ripples.

Todays West - a report by Dave Hughes.

The Anderson report into the conduct of John Mitchell is expected to be delivered to RWA Chairman Geoff Stooke this week is unlikely to cause any significant upheaval.

Club insiders say procedural changes to dilute Mitchells absolute authority over the Force program are working well and team harmony is improving ahead of Friday nights game against the Blues.

Force CEO Greg Harris says Force administrators took it upon themsleves to make changes they deemed necessary and noted that Mitchell himself had embraced the sharing of responsibility.

The most significant development was the appointment of Mitch Hardy as Rugby Manager, the creation of a match committee and a more meaningful role for his assistants, who took charge of most of the pre-season preparation - although Mitchell is likely to step up during the season proper.

"We've made a number of adjustments which, from the feedback we are getting, are working well" says Harris.
"The focus is on Super 14 now and we aren't going to change the world in the middle of the season"

T-G - my edited version. Online version may be up later today. Also talks about the expected crowd Friday.

good to hear, it was way to close to the season for this thing to be major.
if there is any problems, hope both parties can see the season out and just agree to part at the end instead of this ongoing crap!

If it is just about his support staff's eg....sorry, having more "meaningful roles", why didn't they raise it at the end of last season have it cleared up by mid Spring???
Good to hear things are functioning anyway.

My impression of the whole fiasco is that for a number of reasons everyone got p@#* off at each other last year and they simply needed to have it out with each other. Nothing new under the sun in that.
Pity the media got hold of it. It's easy to give the wrong impression of something which should be kept within the club, as only they really know what is going on.

I thought Harris went to the media with the story?

Stories of unrest had already begun, I think they just admitted to having a problem to try and keep a lid on things. In the absence of any hard facts and the scale of the problem, we tend to assume the worst (at least I do). Journalism can easily play upon the assumption and create an even more compelling story.

who knows what really happened and who said what, throw into that the legal threats that were floating around and the report is pretty much propaganda to make sure both sides lose nothing and the team can move on. which is a good thing.
