Why the actual fuck would we want Jordan Uelese when we have BPA on the way, Dolly to back him up and still presumably negotiating with Feleti and Tom Horton.

In BPA and Horton, we've got the goods to wave goodbye to Uelese regardless how good Nic Dolly is or isn't.

And lure LSL to the force? Why to sit on the bench watching Rodda and Swain get all the minutes while collecting a fat chunk of our salary cap?

Yeah I get that Canham would likely be value for money and could develop well behind the two big locks we have already in the system.

Daugunu and Lancaster are good shouts, and we undoubtedly need them, but to ignore the fact that we are desperate for starting quality props, all while trying to push an overpriced lock that we don't need. It's just shit Sydney fish n chip wrapper journalism!
I was thinking exactly the same thing.

Yes, but not only for any poor analysis. We all know what happened in the Andes long ago. And yes they've written books and screenplays. But to use it trying for an unfunny analogy is pretty poor form in my book. I didn't read past that.

Agree, Chase appears to have been something of the social secretary too - reckon the squad will really miss him

Chase has an average of a try every second game for us. I doubt any other Force player (maybe ever) was near that. For comparison The Badger's average was 1 from 5. Tiatia is susceptible the odd crazy error but usually when trying something. With his scoring stats that's a pretty acceptable trade-off. At only 28, a big loss.

He used to really infuriate me with his more outlandish attempts, seemed really naive to me, however, have seen a different side to him in 2024.
I remember commenting at the time around his closeout leadership in the last five minutes against Crusaders, which at the time for me came from left field.
He's evidently become quite an influential character in the changeroom, which has a value of its own and will certainly be missed, though hopefully the younger players staying have observed and will emulate this.
On balance, yes a sad loss and wish him well.
