Joking aside, I have had past experience with the RugbyWA Tribunal system and what I have seen did not inspire me with confidence, although this tribunal has been conducted before men of integrity and for whom I have respect.
However I have suspected the motives of the ARU and this decision has played beautifully into their hands, giving them the opportunity now to engineer any outcome they want.
The fact that the Tribunal did not impose a suspension as well as cancellation of contract suprised and troubled me. I.believed that too should have been an axiomatic result, which, depending on the length of suspension, would have forced the ARU to show their hand and be responsible for their future decisions on Henjak continuing in the game as a contracted (as I suspect) Waratahs player.
If he had been suspended ,Henjak's suspension would have carried over into his new contract. I don't think that would have been palatable to the ARU..
