Although it was about 40 the players hit the training field at about 3pm after spending an extra 30 minutes in the air conditioned change rooms in front of a 100-200 strong crowd.
A series of forward and backs drill were carried out whilst Spanner, Jimmy H and Lachlan "Mr Bachelor" MacKay went through their paces in the hope of earning a starting spot this week.
After plenty of fluids and some across field touch the players then set off ona signing spree. Coaches young fella Caleb had the palyers in stiches asking them to "draw" on his hat and then telling them "where to draw", "no not there, there"
When I asked Spanner if he got the green light he asured me that himself and Jimmy H will got through with a clean bill of health and will be available for selection this week. Mr Bach has a few more weeks to wait though.
I'll post a few pics in the Gallery later today.

Nice work mate, i will have to get the young fella along so he can get some signatures on his toddler outfit(for his dad really)...
Proudly bought to you by a brewery somewhere....
He was most impressed! All the way home he was chanting "Matt Giteau", when the missus asked him who Matt Giteau was, he said "Matt Giteau is when you have fun at rugby" - I hope he's right!
On another note, I think Caleb needs a hair cut, John Mitchell thought he was a girl![]()
Dear Lord, if you give us back Johnny Cash, we'll give you Justin Bieber.

Had a mates young fella (13) with me to complete the signings after meet the players, (Got the Jersey filled up now, I'll be wearing it until the first home win, then framing it) every now and again he'd ask have we got him? whose that? David Pocock fronts up and the question is asked. I goes 'don't you know...that's David "the Mummy" Pocock' He took it in good humour, seems like a really nice (if embarrassed) young man. Thanks RugbyWA you give the best material!
C'mon the![]()
