Hard to criticise him, he's been amongst the top 2 or 3 hookers in the country for core role stuff.A procession of commentators and Wallaby coaches have preferred the shiny things, but for meat n potatoes front row he's been consistent and durable. He should kill it in nippon

Looking forward to seeing some (any!) movement on the contracted 17.
I wonder if perhaps they are going to announce them all in one go?
Reasonably unique (well, arguably second time, hopefully they have learnt something...) set of circumstances to navigate for the franchises and RA.

I reckon all the other SR clubs should be allowed to get on with the allocation, and the Thas get what they get at the end of the process - they wear the consequences of their predicament, and no one else put them there. If they are left with gaps in their roster they can sign some of the Rebels that are off contract - give them some certainty too.

I wonder if the Force could land Mason Gordon via the Academy - presumably, there are no restrictions on recruiting off-contract Rebels into an academy. There is nothing to say about how long you must be in the Academy - an opportunity arises, and you land a contract. I'm pretty sure he's a five-eighth, so he might be surplus to requirement with Donno, Max, and Reesjan, but I think he can also play Fullback.

Candidate for least "breaking news" article of the year?
Sense a bit of RA padding going on to buy time.

Looks like Josh Canham heading to the Reds according to Christie Doran and he seems to be on the money more often than not
UPDATE: Now confirmed by Queensland Reds, two year deal.

Well, at least it's an Australian destination I guess...

Good addition for the Reds, as their locks are OK but they don't have a lot of depth; Canham and Blyth would give possibly a better combination than Blyth and Smith to improve them next year. And it means that he's not going to Sydney!
