Glad we have a bye the following week, so he only misses one match. Good outcome IMHO, had to be some form of suspension.
Yeah Best possible outcome.
Ots a 2 week ban which ends on the 29th of March the force play the chiefs this weekend and then have a bye.
They then face the reds on the 6th of April which he will be available for.
I think that's ok considering all the circumstances. Time to stand up against the chiefs and show us what you can do in 80 minutes Stander.
The Highlander's Prop, Kane Hames, should be cited for "simulation" (I know it doesn't exist in SANZAR rules).
No matter how often I watch the replay his head never touches the ground nor do any flying feet or bodies get close to him.
However, these facts didn't prevent him from holding his head while hunched on the ground as if he'd been seriously injured.
He got to his feet and participated in the next scrum.
No complaints about the rules on spear tackles as the potential for serious injury is high.
The 2 weeks is a fair cop.
However, Hames did nothing to impress!!
I was also at the game and it looked just as well acted as on the TV.
What a relief!
Looks like he has accepted a two week ban, meaning he only misses this week's S15 game. Not a bad result considering.
They offer those types of awards in soccer!
That seems pretty lenient TBH. Not that I'm complaining. Perhaps they took into account that he tried to pull out and there was no spearing motion.
They maybe also made allowance for the Kiwi player doing a Besart Berisha. Thanks for that!
Reeeeeeeeeeesult!
How soft is rugby getting?I face greater perils every day using the building site bog than that prop subject to.The rule should be changed to dangerous tackling-Benny should have got off.
