The Rebels need a 12... hence the JOC push for Melbourne... Cipriani will re-sign as wil Phipps with the Rebels for sure at a good price... They'll be looking for forwards which is a greater worry to me.

Possibly opening up an Force opportunity to grab Hilgendorf..
Too an extent. He's also got to look after his career. The Force don't look like they are going to be doing much over the next few years unless they get a huge injection of $ & get some decent players. At some point he's going to get sick of finishing bottom, second from bottom etc.
Or could he be lured to Reds Instead... FFS
Informed sources have told The Australian the Reds have "a significant interest" in reclaiming O'Connor, who slipped through their fingers four years ago to join Western Force in Perth.
No discussions have yet taken place but it is understood the Reds will be moving shortly to determine how keen he is to return home.
O'Connor was born and raised on the Gold Coast where his family still lives and whenever the Wallabies are out of camp he trains at Ballymore with the Queensland members of the team.
Among those Queensland Wallabies is his close friend Quade Cooper and while the Force came close to luring Cooper away from the Reds last year to play alongside O'Connor, there is no reason why the QRU could not now play the same friendship card in reverse.

I'm not buying this Rebels crap. If JOC moves, he will be going to QLD to play with Quade Cooper.
Who knows if he is even considering moving, they haven't even talked to the NRL yet.
breaking news --- GAYFL have signed JOC to the GWS team....
why not put this in the media... (from the media's band wagon)
he's been to Waratahs to play with his mate Beale.
he's been to the brumbies as they have a bit of kitty available with the depature of giteau
he's been to the rebels to play with his mate Beale
he's been to QLD as he trains with them (bollocks) and his mate Cooper is there.
he's not considering a renewal at the Force
HAY MEDIA --- ANYTEAM LEFT FOR JOC TO GO TO ?? maybe why not Europe or to a NZ or SAFA TEAM ?? or why not NRL where he played his junior football, or AFL ?!!!!!
Get a grip. he'll be here in 2011.
He's got as his house / starting position, his brother is here and his mate in Pocock, what more do you want:
Rebels - he'll be on the wing (and he has xpressed his concern of being out wide)
Brumbies - any position but why would you go there ?
Waratahs - needless to say any more.
Reds - Probably the only 2nd best option, behind the FORCE.
adding to that, why not have Co-Captains in 2012. Bam & JOC, Bam to be the Forwards captain we know how good flankers are captain to get in the ear of the refs (cough cough - McCaw) and then have a captain for the back line.
2 of our star players locked in contract, why wouldn't you re-negotiate your contract when you have the captain armband ?
Okay the cash might not be as good as what the other clubs are offering, but I know full well that i would be a captain of the best club competition in the world than having $100,000 more in my back pocket each week.
umm the Force doesnt offer much at the moment!
Why would you stay with a team that doesnt make the finals, doesnt change its strategies and looks totally underdone season after season.
We have some terrific players, but they dont put it all together on the field!!!
Maybe the cash will talk for JOC, i would hate to see him depart. I hate to be pessimistic, however, the force need to lift their game. Supporters can be a fickle bunch and with plenty of other sports competing for the $ the force need to have a very strong end to the season.
I guess much would depend on whether he sees himself as a leader or a follower. If a player looks around, thinks things suck but feels no sense of responsibility for either creating the situation or remedying it, then jumping ship to another team is an obvious move. Other players will look at the situation and feel the need to get stuck in to make it better. Sharpie would seem to be the latter, and I guess we'll see who all is which over the next few months.
Spoke to JOC at the APPEA conference this week. His priority is his rugby development and he wants to play in a team capable of winning a super rugby title. His choice to stay or go will be based purely on rugby. Pretty honest and fair if you ask me. Can the Force provide this? That's the worry.
Whats all this "reclaimed" bs in the Reds story.
Don't you have to claim something first in order to re-claim it?
My recollection was they weren't interested the first time.
What a load..............
