Metallica - 'Live in Perth', 4th March 2013.
Official recording of their Soundwave gig last Monday at the Showgrounds.
Released this past Wednesday.
It was a great show!
I wish other bands had the opportunity (Or the money) to be able to release more of their shows. It is awesome to go to a show and then be able to get a copy of it.
I would have liked to catch the Prodigy again and also Boyz Noize at Future... But already had KISS on the Thursday, Soundwave the Monday and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds on the Wednesday, already a full week!
Big thanks for Mrs Darthmoose for her understanding, and company for the Nick Cave gig!
Off to see The Mark of Cain this Sunday!
Someone is going to regret starting this thread... My dedication for music and live music probably outweighs my dedication to the Force!
Shock Horror! ;)

haha, and then I scroll up and see youre all metal heads, I was expecting some moaning about parkway! haha.
Some quality music getting an airing in this thread.
I've even got a soft spot for TiF's selection of Cherry Pie... And granted Happy, Ratcat is a bit catchy.
I saw The Mark of Cain on Sunday night at Amplifier (for about the 10th+ time). Simply one of the best Aussie bands ever. Tell Me this track doesn't make you tap your foot?:

Going strong.
The brothers Scott (Kim -Bass and John -Vox/Guitar) are both successful engineers and quite high up (I think ones a CEO and the other a consultant for hire) so the band is just a hobby.
New album come out in December (Songs of the Third and Fifth). Their drummer is John Stanier (ex Helmet, current Battles, Tomahawk and Mark of Cain) who lives in New York and is obviously heavily involved in those other massive bands. So it's not a full time concern for any of them, hence their recent activity being so scarce (album/tour in 2000/2001, a few shows in 2006 then an album in 2013 and this current 6 date tour in 2014).
Henry Rollins did some vocals on the album, kinda a spoken word bit on the track 'Grey 11'.
They move in elite music circles that's for sure. To have Stanier as drummer and Rollins doing vocal support is not something many or any other bands in the world can lay claim too... (especially a rock band from Adelaide!!!)
Their show is still as awesome as ever. Unfortunately Stanier wasn't able to tour due to Tomahawk duties elsewhere in the US/Europe so Adelaide based Eli Green stepped in and did a fine job.
Hopefully here is a pic I took on Sunday:
