If I was Sampson and the CEO has indeed put Hodgo into some sort of coach role to ‘help’ me I’d be massively pissed off and feel totally undermined.
Sampson has done a brilliant job with a team of players from all corners of the planet who really only came together in January, particularly if he’s being pressured to field the ‘important’ names because of who they are rather than what form they are currently in.
