Sure he did. But prior to that game, O'Driscoll had done more to warrant selection in the first place. How do you know the same result would not have happened if O'Driscoll was selected? Not that it really matters now anyway.

The man is a legend of Irish and Lions rugby I personally believe he deserved a swan song game.
He got one, it just wasn't the last game of the tour
They should have played that Barbarians game at the end of the tour. It never used to be called "The Final Challenge" because it was a tour-opener! The Lions could have put on a display more within the spirit of Barbarians rugby and it would have been a great send-off for O'Driscoll and Shane Williams.
