The Katanning Rugby Union team unveil their new jerseys.
Saturday May 26 saw the Katanning Rugby Union Football Club unveil their new strip for 2007 at the Sprigg Bar. The presentation of the Jersey served as a good event for the sponsors, supporters and players to get together and enjoy a meal and a few drinks. Major sponsor MJ and Deb from Ewe-Knighted Shearing were presented with jersey’s and MJ presented jersey’s in positions to the players in preparation for Country Carnival this long weekend in Albany. The country carnival will play host to nine teams from the eastern goldfields, South West, Mid West, and Great Southern Associations. Last year Great Southern teams the Albany Mongrels, Narrogin Broncos and the Katanning Krushers combined in a side to take out the carnival in Geraldton. The side has gone on to play in the WA Country Cup and in various fixtures at Rugby Park.
Katanning’s next home game is on June 23 at Pemble Street top field at 3pm when they take on the Albany Mongrels. They will be looking to cement top spot with a win.
