Yep, I get that.
I think there's a fine line between that game plan being good and it stinking to high heaven. Grant is clever kicker with good vision. I don't particularly mind if he kicks 75% of the time as long as the kicks are valuable.
Far too often in the past three seasons we have kicked short, to the man with no chase. That is a recipe for ANY team to counterattack. If he Kicks smarter and we fix up our defensive lineout we might end up with a bit of a weapon there.
And let's not forget, he will be backed up by Burto, who doesn't seem to have any problem running the ball. It could make for the perfect Rope-A-Dope!
At least he's a world class player, who can teach the young flyhalves the finer aspects of the tactical game, we could do much much worse!

The highlanders in their final against the 'Tards and the lions in their recent tour showed that kicking has a place in rugby
however they both show the value of
intelligent kicking
kicking to space
and most importantly
the kicks are backed up with a couple of hard running, large backs, that are going to steamroll the opposition player trying to recieve the ball.
Staniforth was brilliant at kick chase.
and I've also got no problem with the drop goal
if you've been sitting in the oppositions 15 for 7 phases why not get some damn points?
