Currently $120 (I think) of a senior players registration fees go to the ARU. I don't know what the amount for a junior is.
Is there a way not to pay this money to the national governing body? Can we kill that ARU cash cow?

Woudn't RugbyWA be defranchised as a member union if that was the case, we wouldn't be able to field any teams in National Competitions and we wouldn't be able to provide any players direct to the Wallabies.
So pretty much normal as things stand today.
We'd need to arrange our own public liability insurance rather than riding on the back of the ARU, but that's the only cost I can see.
This isn't the dumbest idea going around and I could see myself supporting it. Yes there is a lot of holes but the thinking is good.

Agree, if all else fails I hope we can find an alternative to super rugby
I think the Jr rego fees are about the same. If I remember correctly for my son, it was $120 ARU, $80 RWA, $80 Club. I thought of this on Friday too, I don't want any of my money going to the ARU.
