After being a member since 2006; I would seriously consider changing to supporter membership if they moved matches to Optus.

Oh I don't know, Subi had a unique "je ne sais quoi". Whether it was the splinters in your rear from the wooden bench seats to the "atmosphere" in the sections above the "facilities" or the distance view of the upper half of players if you were located near the fence, or the lingering effects of a Subi-burger it all added to the ambience.
I've never been to Optus, but would expect the experience to be somewhere between Subi and hbf.
All the criticisms leveled at Subi are fair points, so I'm not a fan of moving there.
However there's a but
If Optus ground hire fees are significantly lower than hbp, or if the added corporate facilities make the business case worthwhile I would begrudgingly support the move.
It's a sustainability question and we have to accept that individual ticket holders are only one factor in a multivariate equation
think the optus rumour is just a little reminder to HBF stadium that there are options(maybe)
The threat to move to Optus from the Force is a bluff holding a 2 of diamonds, a 7 of spades, a joker, a monopoly get out of jail free card and an old movie ticket that's been sitting in a wallet for 3 years.
I could see it maybe for a one of game per year against a big drawing side like the Crusaders or the Chiefs (I swear most Perth based Kiwi Rugby supporters have all 5 jerseys in the wardrobe) but for games against most other opponents it would be a terrible venue to hold Super Rugby.
Unfortunately you're incorrect there, i see plenty of them going to the game with costume planning consisting of thinking 5 minutes before the game "the Crusaders are here, what do I own that's red" if they have nothing its "OK I'll just wear my All Blacks Jersey" next step NZ Maori, Auckland Warriors, jersey from any other NZ national team, Jersey from any other NZ team, black shirt (I think they all have a black shirt)
I always have a lot more respect for Kiwi supporters who can demonstrate some sort of support for the team before the kickoff (wear proper kit, preferably reasonably current, know some of the players, know an interesting, recent fact about the team or one of the players that hasn't been all over the news, stay after the final whistle to greet and thank the team) the rest of them are just opportunist wankers who have come to get shitfaced and watch a kiwi team slaughter somebody. They're also the ones who will leave 10 minutes early if the team is losing but stir shit if they win.
ha-ha.
My S-I-L has Crusaders, Hurricanes, Stags + AB's plus a grey AB job. From Otago but no Highlanders kit and he's only ever been to one game (Maori AB's) - when I got the tickets. :iconrofl:.
Fortunately he's a very good Dad and Husband.
I remember the Crusaders game in 2010. That was a sell out. I think we won 23-13 or 20-10 or something. When Nathan Charles ran his 90 odd metres. Cracking game. Cracking atmosphere.

The one game I'd wished we played at Optus was the first World Series Rugby fixture against the Fijians, was the hottest ticket in town at the time, really wonder how big that attendance would have been...
