Toshiba Brave Lupus made sure they kept pace with league-leading Sanyo Wild Knights as they wrapped up Week 8 of the Japan Rugby Top League in style on Sunday.

The Brave Lupus ran in 12 tries in a 82-22 thrashing of Coca-Cola West Red Sparks in Kagoshima on the southern island of Kyushu.

New Zealander Neil Brew led the way with a hat trick of tries, while compatriot David Hill weighed in with a try and 11 conversions.

The victory lifts Toshiba to 36 points, two behind Sanyo and five ahead of Suntory Sungoliath.
