uh oh
So the rumor is true
The Daily Record is barely one step above the mongrel journos of the Eastern States.
Heard from our unnamed sauces and reliable, hes on his way.
Sounds as classy as the West!
F***K !! shot with a gun before tuesdays meeting it sounds like. !! we should be called the ARF (australian rugby force, cause they are using the Western Force as a puppet) maybe henjak should change his name to matt tuqiri henjak and he might get off..
Benny im a Yak fan but he is in deep shite. I hope he stays with us but i dont think the powers to be will wear his reasoning, or Sares.....
1 RugbyWA have had a gutfull
2 ARU is looking for blood.
Im sure Sare will take the major rap to lessen Henjaks involvement, but its still a messy affair which we dont need.
So Henjak is basically screwed because the ARU is baying for blood to make themselves look good and responsible because they've stuffed up every other thing like this over the past few years (as far as I know, mostly involving useless league players and stupid front rowers playing for the Waratahs)
no i agree. its completely F**KED that there pretty much openly replacing him when hes STILL FRIGGIN INNOCENT!
Settle down guys....they're replacing Adam Clarke!
Do you really think they'd go crazy to replace Henjak with O'Young when O'Young didn't kick Henjak out of the team in season one (when Littleleck so accurately pointed out Henners had a woeful year)
I would think they've spun the story to Chrisso in as positive a light as they can to get his signature, but if Henners gets the sack, they'll be looking for a little more to replace him....they just know they're covered for a couple of weeks until then!
I really don't think this is a major cause for concern......they could well be just playing the press release game!
That being said...I think Henners is in for some pain unless he's unequivocally and demonstrably innocent of any wrongdoing in this incident! He is the one with a record...he is a member of the leadership group, and I would expect that if it were Richard brown (who has a past now and is a member of similar standing) did it, he would be in a similar position!
I hope to God he stays on the team sheet, but He'll not get off scott free!
Sorry GIGS but i smell a Kangaroo Court :(
Hi all,
Hope you don't mind a Visitor from Glasgow and a Glasgow Warriors Supporter dropping by? Just wanted to say - Chris O'Young will be missed by Glasgow Warriors, our squad is paper thin at some positions and Scrum half
is a good example of where we could really use quality players. Officially in Glasgow we have not been notified that he has in fact left - at the momenet its still rumour being passed around by (as you rightly identified) one of Glasgow's Daily rags. If he has in fact gone back to Western Force (and I can't blame him) all I can say is that its a great shame we didn't get to see more of him in Glasgow. Good luck to Chris and good luck to you guys for your forthcoming season!

Looking at the guts of the chicken I've just slaughtered, I reckon the Force will take the most pragmatic route:
- Henjak will be reprimanded and penalised (probably quite stiffly) but not sacked. I suspect it will be a fine - it is effectively the play without pay option and penalises him rather than the team.
- The ARU will piss and moan, but I reckon they'd want to be careful - if they go after him for past indiscretions, there would have to be questions about why they didn't act at the time. Also, as we've noted, it will be difficult for them to justify significant penalties given their previous inaction on much more serious transgressions by other players.
- The Force have or will sign O'Young however, as they've got to cover for Clarke in any case. But it also gives them options should the ARU declined to renew Henjak's contract (which is the one thing they could do without recourse). That would then throw the onus entirely on Henjak to decide what path he will take - he could stay at the Force and try to work himself back into favour (S14 money only, probably with new conditions placed on future behaviour), or he could elect to leave. Either way, at least it would be his choice and, from the Force's perspective, they'd have time to recruit post-season should he leave and he probably wouldn't just reappear on someone elses list with all forgiven.
But we'll see...
good summary AndyS and yes all will be reveilled today
