OK, I've caught up now. Haven't seen much other than the force games, but I'm hating this supposed new interpretation of the high tackle law. For the majority of the highlanders game they were attacking the head of the force players, not a blink from the ref, however one brush of the neck from a force player bought a whistle.
I'm watching the blues Samoa now and it looks pretty much the same.
It seems to be a crap shoot whether you'll get penalised for it.
Radiki is 40 - and hits as hard as he did in his 20's. One of my favourite players.
the chiropactor would have been proud of that hit!
So anyhoo...is the situation - beat Toulon and 'Canes do the same and the boys get to play again tomorrow?
Got it. Ta.
Nice to get a win against Toulon.
Can't help but feel this tournament is also to get our officials back in the swing of things.
If they don't it probably goes to percentage. They'd all be on 2 points. I guess.
Force - 5 points, -9 points diff
Canes - 4 points, -1 Points diff with game to spare
Toulon - 2 points, -12 points diff with game to spare
If canes win we go through, Toulon wins they need win by less than 3 for us to go through.
My dehydrated, beer affected maths may be slightly off but the gist is there. Go hurricanes!
I've gotta say, they looked bloody rusty against the bulls, seemed to play ok, but not be confident enough against the canes and started to look like they might be worth backing against toulon. I can't say that I'm carrying rego level of confidence, but I think the more they play, the better.
Since most of the crap has been basic skills, I can't imagine that playing more tens would hurt their 15s (unless we pick up injuries)
