Force haven't even made the finals yet everyone is debating where it should be played, god help us. And once again, for the record - Rugby Australia funds the NRC. Its up to them to hire venues and they will not, i repeat WILL NOT spend one cent more then they have to in WA so all your assumptions and complaining are a waste of time.
Ill just be happy if we make the finals.
Re: Fiji's home finals; They'll probably take it to North Harbour Stadium in Albany. :snigger:
But yeah, I'm really on that double-header bandwagon now. That would really be something. :yeah:
On a side note, what I find very odd, is that the next Force game will be played at Kardinia Park in Geelong. (?!?!)
So it seems that the Rebels and the Wallabies play at a 29,000 capacity AAMI Park stadium; but of all teams, the MELBOURNE RISING get to play at a 36,000 capacity stadium! :hahaha:
And you know what? Good on 'em!
Twiggy should fly over 35,000 Force supporters in gold'n'black jerseys to fill it :hehehe:
So I guess if the Rising play at a 36k ground, we should start booking Optus Stadium now hey. :iconrofl:
I'm just fiddling around with google maps and photoshop, there's some interesting results with pitch alignments at the WAFL grounds. Some of which were a bit surprising, especially if we only want to fill one sideline and push the pitch to one side of the ground, even better if we put the camera on the other to show the crowd.
I'll see if I can post them.
On a side note, had a chat to a guy from Floreat Athena, said they'd be very interested to hear from RugbyWA. They have two grandstands on one side and hill around the other three. Pitch is not as short as Dorrien, but I don't know about lighting.

good call, that floreat athena ground looks ok.
litis stadium, built in 1959 as a velodrome.
lived around here for years and driven past without ever knowing it was there.
The name Floreat Athena is a bit misleading regarding the ground because it is actually on Britannia Road, Mt Hawthorn right between Leederville and Glendalough Stations across the freeway from Lake Monger. Nowhere near Floreat.
Sounds like a good alternative.
For those whose kids have played junior rugby, it is right next to Britannia park.
There are quite a few good soccer club grounds in Perth with good stands or hills or both.
Here's my little list, with my top three towards the bottom:
