I'll look into getting a cup made up. We could work out a standard set of trophy protocols as well, some suggestions to start with:
- Trophy transportation across the Nullabor to be paid for by team losing it (this will even out when it comes back). Maybe we can get an idea of a courier for it.
- Trophy to be cleaned before transportation
- any trophy damage will be repaired or replaced with any costs incurred by the team who has custody of the trophy. Any damage in transit to be covered by the team sending the trophy.
- Team holding the trophy retains it in the case of a drawn series.
- The Cannon Cup Challenge is contested at the annual Super Rugby match.
- The implications on the Cannon Cup of any changes to the Super Rugby Competition will need to be agreed by the commencement of the season. I'm sure that Coach and I can come to a reasonable agreement in these cases. Perhaps we should have a neutral arbitrator for deadlocked decisions - I'd nominate Rodney Blake who's a registered referee and Queenslander.
