Imagine if Brothers were able to call back all the players who left them because they didn't have a premier grade team in recent years?.
For me its fairly simple (like me), Joondalup will most probably be the 10th team next year. There are a lot of new players in their 'reserve" this year, so it shows they can get their hands on players. I don't think it will be hard for them to bring in a heap more newbies next year. Once they have a premier grade team the player base will stabilise, and they will finally get some benefit from their huge junior base. Secondly Rugby WA will be happy because JBs have lots of MOOOLAH.
well,in the finals their opposition wont be stacked--so this should be an indication of how good they are
Not so sure - none of the clubs in the reserve grade finals have a team in the Prem Grade finals, so there may be a few players 'available'
The last time Brothers played Soaks, there was a S15 half back playing for Soaks
Comp rules say players must play min. 6 club games to qualify for finals. if those 6 are in Prems he cannot play down in finals. so if soaks have played S15 halfback 2 times against JB, you won't see him in finals cos unlikely they would have played him reserve grade against all other prem teams.
Justin Turner and Amon Matuatu carved us up last time they wont be there
but theres bound to be 3 or 4 Prems who will be "available" nothing new for us should be good one as will watching neddies hump cott afterwards
Bullshit, the competition rule as you have quoted can be manipulated by RWA through the dispensation process. You're well aware of this ....remember Wests stacking their team in the 2013 finals! RWA can allow a player to play anywhere without having played a club game if dispensation is provided.
Also, why are Premier grade clubs being contacted regarding 3 unhappy players from the JB reserve grade team looking to play elsewhere next year. Apparently these players have a trip to a 'south sea' island planned for the end of august and then wish to return to Perth. Maybe not eveything is as rosy as being portrayed.
Sir Richie change your avatar, you have no right to embarrass a living legend but feel free to continue on and keep embarrassing yourself
Maybe Sir Richie can't let go of crusaders loosing the final and it was the great man who cost them the win.
Anyway we digress, I think the point that he is trying to make and not a shot at West's, only an example, is the grand statements by Hansie and quoting the rules, (a board memebr) this has not been applied before because of the almighty clause "at the discretion of".
We can go back over the each finals series and find examples of WA rugby giving dispensation to forces players who do not meet the criteria as stated by Hansie.
The fact is because of the NRC, Hansie can make the grand statement and quote the rule book, because he knows the players will not be released to club land. What if there was no NRC???????????????
So all the chest beating that went on in the past, about how great it is that these players are playing in the finals is moot, unless we want a cry of "release these players no matter what, to club land for finals it's what we want"
I agree with your past statements that we need to move on and focus on what is in front and work together not look back and we need too, if club rugby wants to survive because the last couple of years has been a disaster for club land.
However not help by Hansie posting, stating the rules when that clause has never been applied before to a force player.
If Hansie posted it with the intent of community engagement = fail in my opinion.
The Bros getting a plug on 6RP this morning during the rumour file. (Where is Rumour Monger when you need him)
Claims that the Club are in a heated battle with Venues West over royalties from the venue while the Joondalup council has apparently washed their hands of the issue as its becoming to hard to deal with the club and Venues West.
Anyone want to provide anymore info?
There was no intention to make any personal attack on Wests as a club. The post was aimed at highlighting the statement made by Hanise which may not be correct, evidenced by an example from last years finals series. Your probably feeling insecure because I mentioned your club.
If you choose to make it personal because of your insecurity, then I will choose to ignore your remarks in the future. Remember personal attacks are easier to make than intelligent ones!
