I wish we would clap the kicks over like they do in France. At least it would block out the booing Kiwis at home games.
what as opposed to the booing poms, irish, aussies and anyone else?
If you took all the expats out of the crowd there wouldn't be many watching at all
If they're winning no-one is booing
C'Arn the FORCE! :D
Actually, that doesn't bother me that much. Most of that comes from the legion of kiwi expats who will be madly rummaging in their cupboards for something black red or yellow, preferably more than one of those colors, if all else fails wear an AllBlacks tee shirt. They'll come tonight, ask whether Dan Carter or Richie McCaw is playing, say the force won't win because they're shut and, if we happen to be up with ten to go, won't hang around to watch wat would have been a glorious underdog win and applaud the victors, but head for the early train.
True rugby supporters will come and watch their team, and hang around to watch a good game of rugby win or lose. The mooloomen who we caught up with at the last chiefs home game were of that mould and great blokes (apart from those bloody cowbells)
I absolutely DETEST part time kiwi rugby supporters
You forgot the bit about where they wander around the stadium shouting abuse, trying to pick fights, Gigs.
When there (chiefs) are losing and in our own in goal we should have a chant "your the chieeeeefffffsssss" were the indiannnnnsss doing your hard work.
Like always I'll be there abusing the kiwi crowd (as its easy to get under there skin) when I yell out "same ole kiwis cheating bastards".
there is no place for booing in any shape or form in our game and i couldn't believe it several seasons ago when sharpie wrote in his column and I quote I thought the force supporters were fantastic and booed at all the right times unquote fairly ordinary comment I thought , we should take a leaf out of the Irish crowds and have complete silence when opposition are taking shots at goal
I think a lot of people would love to see that, but doubt in an AFL-centric town like Perth, that'd ever happen.
And at the risk of making a generalization, anyone got a theory why Kiwis at the rugby are often so combative? Been fortunate enough to spend a fair bit of time in the land of the long white cloud and can't say enough nice things about the New Zealanders I've met on their home soil, but the behaviour of some Kiwis at rugby games (the 08 Bledisloe in Sydney and the Otago supporters at the last Force game at Subi being particularly memorable for callous behaviour) has been truly appalling.
Unfortunately the "bus" left me behind after a EWF V Crusaders game (!) and I was constantly verbally abused by groups of KIWI "supporters" when I was trying to get a cab! Not pleasant! Also at the RWC the day of the final and semi final dressed in Wallaby gear was like a magnet to the Kiwi "bogans" and unacceptable behavior! Inside Eden Park the atmosphere was great between all the fans! Outside another story all together! I would NOT have liked to be on the streets of Auckland if the ABs had lost either the semi or the final!
Who was singing Ole Ole Ole last night? Or what seemed to be?
The Shed. In the standing room section at the northern end.
We were down the southern end and there were a lot of Chiefs "fans" there too and some were not behaving in a sporting manner - jeering, booing, standing up and clapping whenever one of our made a mistake and mocking the surrounding Force supporters.
The funniest thing I hear though was a few of them singing "let's go Chiefs, let's go" - not sure if they were taking the piss or were Force fairweathers giving their Chiefs jersey it's biennial airing.
I don't like sharing our stadium with bogans.
