He does not do nothing. That's a silly comment!
Well I think Mitchell is an extremely useful player to have on a team. His attack is on fire and his defence is improving and playing with Cam and Nick wouldn't hurt wallaby shots at all. and I still still still think he will stay :)
Wearing a shirt with Drew's face on it would just make me look like a stalker! Number 11 jumper is muuuch better! Then I look like a fan rather than a stalker-girl.
Drew's family is in North Queensland I believe, they are an Army family
I don't know where, but they are in Queensland, and thats the only one that's not bidding like idiots for him... so I gues its not the family either. Unless he has some unknown girlfriend in Sydney  No... it's not family. And all of them but Drew are in the army.
I have to admit, that i think adding a extra $200k on top of Mitchells salary is a massive over-inflation of what he is worth.
i think the Reds have said they are interested, but they are focussed on re-signing there current players before they go poaching others, ie Ioane
Agreed. For a winger $200k is not worth it. Plenty of young talent going around who could do a job almost, if not, as good. ET should spend the money on a scrum coach or another, better marquee prop (no offense Ben). Longbottom and the two academy guys could really use a mentor who can impart knowledge that will serve them for 5-10 years rather than just the one or two.
I think it's got a little to do with Drew's profile rather than his worth. Keeping Drew would fill everyone with a little more confidence and confidence from fans and players is pretty much what keeps the force together. Keeping Drew would show a bit of support from senior players, that Mitch is alright, that people have faith in the force.. and I think ET Mining are onto that!
But 200K is a LOT of money.... Oh well.
... Drew will stay.... :)
I would definitely wear a shirt with Drew's face on it...
$200k top up for Mitchell - don’t see the value in this for the Force. The money would be better used to secure a top marquee player rather than retain the services of a fullback/winger that’s unlikely to feature in the next RWC!
Hmm no I couldn't bring myself to. I'm too afraid I'd look like a stalker. I like the idea though.
Not likely to feature? Pray tell.
Well I certainly beg to differ *takes a very very deep breath*
Drew Mitchell happens to be a very talented rugby player, as shown during last RWC. Last year wasn't his best, but seriously, expect good things. His ankle injury really kinda mucked up his wallaby season as he didn't really get given a proper shot through Mr Overpaid (no chance) and Hynes who was earning his keep. However! His defense is improving greatly and his attack is always something special. His ball running is great and he always manages to shake off a couple of tackles and hopefully get a quick pass off and opens up play. His kicks hm well he's getting there. Slowly. His game is not bad and I think he will star in next year's RWC. 2 games off the bench last time, 7 tries and next time there's not fatty boom boom Lote in the way. :)
*exhales very very deeply*
So. Why won't he be there next RWC?
If he's not happy then show him the door and wish him well. Agree with most of the comments above - 200k would be better spent elsewhere...
