And just as we were getting optimistic about a new broadcast host, Stan are bringing Cheika into commentary team! Bloody hell, there goes the volume button again. Just when we thought we were rid of him -will he never go away?

The logic behind locking out every second seating row with the rest pretty much jam-packed. Social distancing? With each seat individually strapped wouldn't every second one be more logical?
Even less so when Transperth run minimal trains, packing everyone in fifteen to the dozen.
I don't believe the 7,500 official number for the home crowd!!
How can ticket master move from a sellout to 2,500 less???
Enjoyed the game but had to be bemused by the different approaches to sporting crowds shown by Qld and WA.
In Perth instead of being half way up the Eastern stand we were 5 rows from the top - due to every other row being vacant.
But we could be sitting beside a total stranger.
Compare this with a photo from the Brisbane crowd at the Reds/Waratahs game.

WA has a single case of community transmission since April last year. That was a guard from hotel quarantine who didn't get really sick (despite having the UK strain). Despite covering a wide part of Perth in his travels (BEFORE our 5-day lockdown) Perth had no record of transmission to others (even his 3 flat mates).
If we're all relying upon the best science and medical expert advice then why are the approaches so different??
It would have been great to have another 3-5,000 at the game.
There looked to be more than 7500 in the crowd last night..
Looking at the Southern stand, there were a lot of seats empty in the 'occupied' rows, particularly in the upper rows. The Northern stand and shed looked 100% and the West stand looked close to it. Couldn't see the upper Eastern stand.
So I wasn't surprised it wasn't 10,500, but was a little surprised it was 3,000 down.

However, I think I read (possibly in an article regarding the Glory) that the cost of hiring HBF from the government depends on the matchday attendance. If so, it would be in both the Glory and Force's interests in low-balling the attendance figures.
Unlike Melbourne who counted all members and all free tickets given out as attending, regardless of whether they turned up or not. (Have they stopped doing this?)
