nah. we get sun enough in the afternoons to do what we want to do during summer as is it is.
Speak for yourself, jono. I certainly don't. I like DLS enough to basically continue on it for an extra month or two (I call it Tragic Standard Time, or TST).
ok ok tragic. as a surfer/bodyboarder i might be a little biased, seeing as there is less wind in the mornings :D
Im sick to death with this daylight saving gig. jono for a change is on song with this topic. It is designed for people who work in airconditoined offices, catch public transport to work and have 2.2 kiddies. It sucks arse and always will. Our future lies in Asia not over East. So a time zone close to Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia etc makes economic sense. We are the Australian economy!
if only for different reasons hey TLH?
but yours are good as well.
why do we have to limit ourselfs in regards to trade and whatever else with the other nations in the GMT+8 time zone?
How many time zones in the US?
We don't. People who work in financial markets, for instance, work early and late shifts. People keep their work hours according to their markets, and should be free to do so.
cant see the problem, pubs still open at 11
Four, it seems:

I love daylight savings,. its the best thing ever. I don't have 2.2 kiddies (or any kids for that matter), i now work in an office but that shouldn't be a factor. It's good for Cricket training (i know its a rugby forum), it's good because i start earlier then the Mrs so we can still get down to the beach. Probably could end it at the end of Febuary though. Other then that keep it. But the "West Aussie" mentality will kick in and it will never pass a referendum
jeez jono that is the worst excuse for anti daylight savings i have ever heard, worse then "the cutains will fade"
I reckon it should end at the beginning of March. The last few weeks has been quite dark for my morning run. I could run into a pothole and hurt my foot. The lights are not too bright down here.
It is a selfish reason but a reason all the same.
Its dark when I go to uni on a monday ( when I actually go to my morning lecture) and there are kangaroos on the road...this is good enough reason for me to skip my lecture. So I like daylight savings. I also like the extra hour I got today.
Only problem is that it should finish a bit earlier in March.
I think is should start at the end of December and finish at the start of January.
