its doubtful that my uncle will go now, (and in that case neither will my dad), so, I may have 2 tickets to spare :(Quote:
Thank you for your recent ticket enquiry. To meet our Council and Club safety guidelines, it was decided that the General Admission tickets be marked as standing only. Our club grounds have a limited number of grandstand seats and unfortunately they were sold within hours of release. I do understand your situation and concern with regards to your Father and Uncle, and I apologise that we are unable to allow chairs to be brought into the event. Within our club grounds we do have a small hill close to the club house. We will allow patrons to use this area for viewing the game. It will allow people to be able to sit on the ground. I’m sorry I am unable to fully satisfy your request at this time. We hope for any future events we will be able to organise temporary seating to accommodate all spectators.
saddest part is that hes on holiday from Wales and we've been talking this up for a while now. bummed me out completely.
do they have a history of chair fights down there or something ?
Hire a wheel chair for him, they wouldn't dare refuse him entry if he's in a wheelchair! Does anyone know why chairs and blankets aren't allowed?
I think it's probably more about there not being much room around the playing surface. I suspect spectators will be standing fairly close to the pitch and there might be a need to jump out of the way of rampaging humans.
The 'grandstand' isn't that big, and depending on how many tickets have been sold they'll be four deep in front of it!
I can see that as why they have done the blanket ban. The official I spkoe to mentioned that (naturally) wheel chairs are ok. Perhaps common sense says a fold up chair should be ok for older people but I guess it would be difficult to administer. We'll probably try that as the missus has a medical issue that makes prolonged standing difficult.

One sleep to go.
I just spoke to the guy and apparently WWE style fold up chairs are definitely not allowed in. A pity as I was gonna show off a conchairto and/or a van damninator...
