Er... do you have Council permission...?
if the local residents can use it, i would assume that it would be a public oval. i'm not a laywer though, but i would say that TWF memebers are members of the publicQuote:
Set within a residential area, Rosalie Park is widely used and enjoyed by local residents, as well as visiting sports people. The Park is the City’s primary active recreation facility. Sports currently played at Rosalie Park include tennis, soccer, rugby, cricket, football, touch rugby and lacrosse. The sports fields are
partially lit for night training
Local residents can take their dogs to shit for free. Soccer, rugby, organized activities... where's the moola.
its a group of friends getting together to catch up and play touch.
its hardly being sponsored by anyone, nobody is being payed.
what grounds would anyone have to charge us to play on a public reserve?
But hey, do it anyway. By the time the rangers wake up to it , it'll be over and you'll be at JB's.
Jono, no point in arguing with me. Ring your local council (not Subiaco) and ask em if you and a group of 20 friends can organize a touch game at Lark Hill. Just seewhat they'll tell you.
ok then, hows this?
if YOU want to check out if i need permission to play touch rugby on a public reserve, go ahead. if i need permission i will get permission.
i'll also make sure i tell all the little kids around the area that they need permission from the council before they can say that they are going to go play cricket, footy, soccer, etc in the park. or what about people who organise their day so they can exersice in the park? i really should tell them as well...
thank you for bringing this to my attention. i am now a better person for it
Jono, mate, I don't really care. I'm perfectly happy for you to play what you want where you want. I'm just pointing out there is a remote possibility that the local ranger might approach you if you are appearing to play an organized game on their precious grounds without their permission.
I'd take the risk. All they can do is tell you to stop.
If you do it officially, they'll slug you $100 or more.
Thats all!!
Still wouldn't hurt to make a phone call and ask the question jono.
You'll be buying a lot of drinks if everyone turns up and you get kicked off in the first 5 minutes.
Jono's not used to buying more than one drink every two hours...make the call mate!
I'ts a pretty big ground which is multi-purpose; Someone plays soccer there when others aren't playing rugby. Hence the fkn blue lines on the main pitch.
I dunno if anyone plays organised stuff (like soccer) on Saturdays (when Wests aren't playing) or Sundays. I'd reckon that would be the only hurdle, given you/we (haven't got permission to play yet) would want to use one of the marked rugby/soccer pitches.
i can go any of those dates
so im in and if we need a doc..my daddy will be on hand(if needed)???
I'll bring the stomach pump, he can do the intubation...
