To be fair, I don't think that article is from McKay -
if indeed this is it ...

Yep. Just like Nedlands, Palmyra, Cottesloe et all.
Quite a few RA sycophants among our esteemed journos have pointed out what a great success the Storm have been in Boganball Central. Perhaps the Rabble have them as a template. One local 1st grade player in 23 seasons and total losses north of $100 million. Lucky for them they were sold to a Kiwi millionaire to stop the rot.
RA did try and offload the Rebels to a millionaire. Unfortunately they didn’t pick a very good one. But beggars can’t be choosers I guess.
So the Rebels just have to routinely ignore the salary cap. Oh, hang on …
Here we go, didn't take long did it. How good the WF must look now.
Sad how some worms have turned and are chasing the dollars now their inflated salaries have been cut.
Perhaps I'm being a bit harsh but good to see strong words from Tim Sampson.
Do we open a book on who wants to come.

International players are knocking on the Western Force door as the club plans for the rebooted Australian Super Rugby competition.
It is understood at least seven players from Super clubs and from overseas, including former Force players and at least one Wallaby, have contacted the club.
It is unlikely they will be signed for the coming season — with matches against the Brumbies, Reds, Waratahs and Rebels — but with the future of Super Rugby up in the air and Global Rapid Rugby set to expand to eight teams next year they will likely be part of long-term Force planning.
Rugby Australia has frozen all contract negotiations between Super clubs. Force players fall outside of that but if a Super player left his current team RA would terminate the contract.
The Rugby Union Players’ Association agreed to a 60 per cent wage cut for Super players until the end of September.
Force coach Tim Sampson is under no illusions about the task ahead in the new competition but promised to support the players who have stayed loyal as he rebuilt the club.
There will be no reaching for the chequebook of billionaire Andrew Forrest, who has bankrolled the Force and GRR since the club was dumped by Rugby Australia three years ago, to buy success.
The Force lack the international and Super experience of other clubs with a dozen players coming through the local pathway.
“There’s a bit happening in player movement but I’m focused on our squad,” Sampson said. “First and foremost we’ll look after our own backyard and then we’ll see what happens.
“It’s really important considering what we’ve been through. Focusing on our guys is very important.
“They have stayed in Perth for this day. We’ve been craving this for a couple of years. It’s what we have prepared for, trained for.
“We are under no illusions that we have to improve.
“Without doubt there’s going to be pressure. The excitement of being able to play against Super Rugby clubs again and teams within your country is very important.”
Great interview with Tim. He was very, very clear that the Force will be looking after its own backyard and bringing WA talent through in preference to anyone else.
I actually don't have a problem with WA boys who were forced to move to other places by a contract with RA or being on the cusp of wallaby representation returning to the force that is, after all, one of the reasons the team exists.
Similarly, I would be happy for grr to engage with other Australian players who are likely to fill skills gaps and improve the quality and competitiveness of the competition.
I am, however, not interested in contracting money-grubbing dick heads who are just looking for twiggy to line their pockets while they bludge in the best city in the world with no need to work for a spot.
Those wankers can stay in Japan (yes I'm looking at you will genia)
