By reading this story you would think the Rebels had a letter from the ARU saying you are not the team going.. They talking NRC and 2018,, The future, securing better staff , It all sounds to positive, Could it just be a smoke screen??
Smoke screen. Promote someone that already works in the business without replacing him anytime soon and make a headline.

Melbourne Rebels have announced the signing of England and Lions lock Geoff Parling for 2018 Super Rugby season.
What a joke, I assume the ARU will now be paying out English player contracts if they fold the Rebs.
Not sure what is going on but surely with a possible 25% of players looking for alternative homes next year, filling spots with new marquee players cannot be on, ARU would have had to ratify this, and each week I think that they cannot bumble anymore than they already have.
If I see Puller in town today he'll be leaving Perth with two black eyes and a busted nose!!
Really?
Might be time to take a step back & take it down a notch. Threats and/or actual violence towards someone who - at the end of the day is just trying to do his job - won't help any of the stakeholders or yourself in the grand scheme of everything you've helped accomplish recently.
A little birdy just told me that Pulver & Stookie have just arrived at HQ and headed immediately, with pace into Wessels office.

Player contracts/signings?!
