I'm excited by it, however i will be a pessimistic due to the number of obviously loss making tickets at $10ea and the number that were given away to junior rugby families. So i wouldn't go crowing too much about how everything is saved in WA.
However, I am super excited about tomorrow night, and i have the missus, son, nephew, brother and a mate coming along to watch. Hopefully the atmosphere keeps em coming back and they see it as a night out, the nephew finally makes the decision to pull on some rugby boots and my son decides he wants to play rugby too!
$10 tickets aren't loss-making if all of the other seats cover the cost of running nib.
Bums on seats should have been the focus for every year - not just this year!
Fantastic celebration for the re-establishment of the Western Force.
Gotta sell out the rest of the games.
Amazing start to WSR and a big F U to Clyne and Rugby Australia!!
If it actually does sell out again next week should the venue be moved to optus stadium so more fans can enjoy the spectacle, or would it be better to play in a packed house? first in best dressed!
I am just blown away it has sold out before the actual game day meaning very few walk ins (if any) will be able to see the game. Great news though and its fantastic so many supporters are back on board for this game atleast.
Personally I do believe the addition of Toyota and Programmed as sponsors, the endorsement of World Rugby for the "long range try" in a closed trial scenario all adds to some good positive news.
Western force tweeted that the last 500 tickets have just gone on sale now (including more general admission seats)
This whole revival concept has been exceptionally positive news. I am just so happy I can go see some good quality live Rugby and that my two young kids will also be afforded the opportunity now whereas they were too young last year and the years before. I can't thank all the Rugby WA staff/ players and Twiggy enough for his generosity and commitment to bringing us back from the ashes despite all the hurdles and roadblocks. This is about as exciting as the Force debut year!
