I think they send them out in March Happy.....if you are a current member anyway
rugbywa memberships, not force memberships yeah?
The President of RugbyWA, Mr Tony Harvey has told me that the RugbyWA memberships will not be sent out for renewal until early in 2008.
Your Force Memberships are, as they say "in the post"
force ones are being sent out today and tommorow because i spoke to someone (i wont mention names incase it doesnt happen) on tuesday, when i had my seats confirmed and they told me packs were comming out today and tommorow.
I don't have a real fixed view on this either way but interested in everyones thoughts.
Should RugbyWA Membership be a component of Western Force Membership?
Forget about the accounting etc of two different entities, there are ways around that.
If all Force Members paid say a $10 full RWA Membership as part of their Force Membership, RWA would get a huge boost in finances compared to the limited numbers at $50 or whatever it was last year and also a potential increase in RWA attendance and participation.
Apart from accountancy etc I can't think of any downside apart from $10 on your current Force Membership level but am happy to accept any problems you may think of.
another bad press item from over east.
"ZOMG! EWF are forcing people to pay for enhancing rugby over there! whatever shall we do?" etc..
damn good idea though.
It's a splendid idea, Burgs. Western Force is part of Rugby WA, after all.
Maybe instead of having it built in, add it on as a "by request" option...Thereby people who do not wish to watch the local rugby, or out of towners, don't have to pay the fee unless they wish to...
Great idea Burgs...
Yeah, perhaps a "tick the box" extra might be the go FR.
Personally I pay for a membership as a way of "returning a debt" from when I did play in my school days knowing I probably wouldn't get to a single match.
I only started a few years ago but just felt it a small way to repay the hard work and dedication given by all those vollies who kept it running.
Have only been to one match at Perry Lakes in the four years I have been a member.
And while our Under 14's v South Australia Shield remains centre piece in the Perry Lakes old display case I reckon I'll keep paying it haha!
Anyway, that's just me, I don't expect everyone who has played in WA should, but it really isn't that much money.
Great idea Burgs I'll forward this thread to someone I know down there!
Another thing that may be worth consideration by Rugby WA and a few people have commented on this
Would it be possible to acknowledge payment pretty quick - say you pay in Nov - you are sort of hanging out till mid Dec - if you received a receipt for paying the membership then you would feel easier that the membership is going to arrive - i.e. you are on the list
this isnt quite the thread i was looking for. but force memberships have been talked about in here.
has anyone got their 2008 ones yet?
