Just watching ABC News and they said they are going to have a special interview with Papworth regarding Super Rugby at 8:30pm. I expect that it would be 2 hours earlier for us at 6:30pm.

ABC News here is at 5 and 7pm unless it is on ABCnews 24/7
Interesting , nothing on http://www.ramsrugby.com.au
Eastwood ( Who he is president of) has for 2 months wanted to take over the Rams team and play at TG Milner, there is not decision on the NRC ( Even there has been a draw out for 2 months for 8 and 9 teams!)
A merge with the Western Force and the Western Sydney Rams?
Thanks Chris. Wonder if he's joining the converted re the Force. That would be a real about face
Call him now on 131269 on his NRL show on 2SM!
You call him now! I'll post a link for the podcast. :P
Congratulations Allison. Papworth used your Rebels purchase price research as part of his rant. He also talked about the millions they continue to get. Not sure anyone knew about all that before you did the hard yards. Great job - I reckon that work could be the game changer.
I get annoyed when they showed that board member not sure of her name, smiling serenely and so focused on the cut of a team. Do they read/listen to ANY comments from the rugby community and it seems to me they are waiting to see if they can cut us after arbitration and that's the one and only plan. Otherwise why not resolve issue now?
The word doing the rounds today is that Current Coach of the Penrith Emus (Shute Shield) Julian Huxley will be the Coach of the RAMS next year.
here is the ABC Brett Papworth interview
Ann Sherry.
What planet is she on!
Her couple of comments show how far removed the board are from reality.
No wonder the ARU are dysfunctional and unable to administer the sport for all of the stakeholders.
The most notable thing for me was that he did not mention the Force. Which is a turnaround. His stand was always anti Force (mostly) and Rebels and pro "grassroots" (read Shite Shield). His view is that Premier Clubs should be directly funded and take responsibility for all development/officers in their areas.
After watching the slow motion car crash that is the ARU, I have some sympathy for how he and others came to that view, but still don't believe that is the answer, obviously.
His mantra was the expansion clubs were to blame for "bleeding the game dry". I remember asking him directly on his talk-back show if he had read the ARU annual reports on the matter. His answer was that he hadn't read them but somebody " in the know" had assured him.
Perhaps the tenacity of Rugby WA's fight-back, the success of our local products, plus maybe Alison's hard work are finally getting the message through in the East.
Well done, again.
I attended a dinner function last night with Kafer and Cheika. When Cheika was questioned about super rugby he stated that cutting a team would allow the money saved to be re directed and distributed to 'grassroots' rugby, i piped up and said why is the team that is facing the axe (Western Force) the one super franchise that appears to be costing the ARU less in funding to operate than other franchises. Cheika replied that this is not the case and i'm not privy to the info he has regarding ARU financials and where the money is going. I wish i had taken a copy of Alison's investigation with me but the flat out denial that this is not the case really concerns me.
After last night's function and the answers to questions posed i felt really disheartened, i really want the Wallabies to get flogged in the Bledisloe and the Rugby Championship now, Cheika talks a good fight but in my opinion he is part of the current problem as well as the current ARU board. I feel sad for our great game in this country at the moment :verysad:
