North beats South in second of 3 U/14 state champs

The U/14 Northern team managed to show their stuff with a hard fought battle winning 10-7 after scoring 2 unconverted tries against 1 converted try from the Southern team. Brilliant play from Lorenzo Mario scoring the first try the conversion when astray. Lorenzo from Joondalup also played a year up and represented Western Australia a couple of weeks ago prop in the U/15 national competition. North maintain their lead into half time 5-0. The north had most of the possession in the second half but The Southern team held out with brilliant defense coming back to score with about 11 minutes to go and everybody thought we are seeing a replay of the first game with the South out of the game for most of the time but scoring in the final minutes to seal the win But Northern winger Steven Bereczky from Wanneroo scored the second try for the Northern team after some good ball handling in very wet weather with about 7 minutes to go.
