Laughing too much at Punter of the Year award?
F@#K
I guess we are still pretty strong there, Wykes and McCalman can start at 4 and 5 for the practice games and round 1 if we need. But still a big loss.
Is Phoenix really ready - we have had a lot of luck in the past with new talent coming through
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooo
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH*&^!!! BU^%$#@! FU$#!
My hero....Mrs Sharpe if you need someone to take over looking after "my boy" when you need a break just give me a call, and I'll be there......
Thinking of you Nathan....
Hmm, what are our other locking options?
Wykes, Hocking, McCalman (prefer him in the back row though) and Battye.
Battye is still very green and Id be loathe to rely on him.
Hocking needs to start and stand up. He is a genuine lock and capable of leading the lineout. Wykes and McCalman are both converted backrowers. Id have Wykes in lock and McCalman at 8. Putting McCalman at lock with Hocking and a very young hooker in either Charles or Whittaker is going to turn one of our strengths in the lineout to a weakness.
What that will mean is that Battye will be on the bench, which isnt ideal but something we will have to live with. Hopefully Battye can step up to Super rugby quickly. Inman and McCalman last year were a little different to Battye as they were both a year or two older than Battye - and this is the age where they put the bulk on.
yeah, gotta be hocking and wukes, hocking has called the lineouts in his debut game in SA. so it isn't totally foreign. e just has to bew able to dismantle a maul like sharpie can...
Relax. At worst he'll miss the first game of the season against the Reds. Who'd have thought a 2nd round bye would turn out to be a good thing.
Well said, James!
im not going to complain if he missed the first round ;)
He'll get his chance to destroy your tight five later in the year ;)
Bugger...hopefully the only injury we have. 4-5 looks shakey now
