Aussie Rugby on TV

Watching the Rugby Gospel channels (Fox) this morning i am noting that there are 3 NZ domestic games, 1 Aviva Premiership game and 1 NRC game being shown on TV today. Now, i realise the cost of the TV rights to the foreign matches is probably dirt cheap compared to sending a crew to cover an NRC match but surely something can be done to balance out the amount of Australian rugby shown on TV. Surely Aussie Rugby could use the exposure and potential sponsorship dollars from being on TV more then the foreign comps can being given some Australian TV dollars just fill air time. I mean between the money spent on livestreaming and buying rights to foreign rugby, couldnt Foxtel be showing every NRC game live or a replay of the livestreamed NRC matches instead? Surely there is more interest in the next generation of Aussie rugby stars then watching foreign comps?

Foxtel show every NRC game through their livestreaming - so no cost, even, to show those on the channels rather than a web stream.

Didn't the NRC start after the most recent TV deal started?
