The only good thing I guess is being a Friday night match we shouldn't have to put up with TIF until Monday morning.
Jeez, he would be unbearable at in a few minutes time

    No big surprises here.

They played, like every other footy team, like a bunch of big girls.

Did you actually watch the match Beaver?
With their best three in the Coaches box, losing one of their next best in the first Quarter and having at least two playing on "one leg" for most of the second half I think they actually did pretty damn well.
The experts in the East all tipped the Pies would flog us, for the luck of a bounce here or there the Eagles could have sewed it up in regulation time (and ditto the Pies, though they already had their share of lucky bounces anyway!)
So long as there is a better run with injury in 2008 the Eagles will be on fire having had a lot of exposure to their Juniors in the second half of the season.
A bit like what happened for the Force in '06 except they stayed in the hunt for the Finals during the same experience.

Nah i'm with Burgs. If you can still play that well in finals footy with 4 of your best players on the bench then you deserve respect...and this is coming from a dockers supporter It was a good game...i mean they hit overtime...they just ran out of steam.

now i'm not exactly a fan of the eagles (in fact i take every chance to rubbish the club) but considering who they had out through injury (Judd, Kerr Cousins) they lost one of their best shots for goal (Ash Hanson) early in the piece it was quite a reamarable performance from them. Written off by most people (except maybe here in the west) they came so close. They had the chance when they were up by 22 points in the 3rd quarter but collingwood just wouldnt lie down either. The defence of both sides especially west coast in the last minute and a half not to let collingwood get a shot on goal when the ball was deep in their attacking 50. Injuries to key players have really de-railed their season (and that of the swans :p ) there is always 2008 to look forward to
anyone want to tip a west coast vs sydney grand final next year??

the interchange bench is a big factor in AFL these days and when your down to 3 (possibly 2) man bench your gonna run out of steam. It was a great effort from them to stay in the game, a few other sides would have just lay down
