i think its crap and its not going to attract crowds. i think an add showing a bit more rugby would be better.

The only time ive seen it was at about midnight on tuesday nite, havent seen it all in prime time etc. Some better timeslots could help too

Strange... they are absolutely flogging it over here. I think it is brilliant, it says a lot about what the ARC is about, new competition, new rules, new faces, new rivalries.

the only time i've seen it was the other nite when i woke up to get a drink, stumbled back into my bedroom and it was on. Only time i've seen it, most of the people i know havent seen it at all

I have however seen the ad for the RWC on 10 plenty of times. I think its pretty good too

I think in WA they possibly assume (rightly or wrongly...) that those who would go are already aware through RugbyWA etc.
I like the actual ad but think that there should perhaps have been a second one to match with them all on the field.
I guess part of the problem is that they would have zero footage to work with, where as next season they will have this year to use.

i'm rather neutral on the actual ad (didnt hate it, but at the same time didnt love it), ive only seen it once, could have been better with some actual rugby in it, but as Burgs said before theres no footage for them to work with so next season it should be better.

quite scary that most of my family are avid force supporters but when i told them i was going to miss the game on friday they all said "what game???"

bloody ell!!! they need to get it out there!!!!! one silly little ad at 11pm wont convince anyone!

I agree with Evie, I reckon the Ad was OK.
it was targeted at people who Don't currently follow rugby at club level.
It had to appeal to "this is different" format - and generally works.

Yes, Zimeric, your family need to get out more - do they get day releases for section 8's ?

Don't know that all this marketing stuff is useful anyways -

the Spirit doubled their crowd and from what I saw of the other games the other teams did the same - a bit of grass roots support has got to be a stronger more stable customer base then the "Blue Crew" people getting free tickets

TQ1 - I think the weather may have had something to do with the doubled crowd and not even the most self-important marketing guru will claim that advertising can improve the weather!

I think the ad gives over a strong message about the new competition but unfortunately it has not been aired at a time when many people will see it (so it doesn't really matter how good an advert it is).

The ad definitely needs to be played at a better time slot and more often. Also we need more air time at more radio stations not just 6PR, most of the younger crowd don't listen to that station.
