Hehe i thought i heard that too so thanks for clearing that one up for me.
Geez Ratu made me laugh with that one too Jehna and there were some funny remarks from the crowd as well. It was amazing how much you could hear from the field...i bet Lachie Turner was getting a bit scared bcoz it seemed to me everytime the Rams had a scrum there was Shepherd yelling out, "LACHIE TURNER, THEY'RE GONNA PASS TO LACHIE TURNER!!!!!!!!!"

great game. it was great to hear all of the players on the field and to see a game in a rectangular stadium! it was so much beter.

that new player (number 11, the unit) look great whenever he got the ball but he always got pulled back because he was infront of the guy passing it.

was that eky refing the 1st half? why did the refs swap?

Someone near me yelled out "New game plan, Yak. Just throw it to No11"

The only time he got the pill in space he got coathangered by a bloke half his size.

Gonna be a great little stadium for the Spirit.

I thought it was so fantastic being so close to the ground and being able to hear all the colourful language and even being able to hear the crunches and thuds as the players smashed into eachother. It was brilliant!

Highlights were definitely Jimmy's 'Hit him! F**king hit him!' and sheps spoiling all turners breaks with pre warnings to the rest of the team.

I think the scoreline was a bit flattering to the rams though. If it wasn't for the slippery ball causing many a knock on near the try line or some of the... interesting ref calls, the spirit could have scored ten or more tries easily. Dominated possession and territory in the first half for sure.

I agree Gerry... some sports ears would have been brilliant... or a big screen.. hell i would have been happy with a timer.

All in all... it was a top night.

Hope no one saw OMC with me... wearing his oh so 80's purple and green waterproof jacket. I pinched his force one.

    'Hit him! F**king hit him!'

I can't remember a match in the last five years, live or on TV, that I haven't shouted exactly the same words
Hope I wasn't his inspiration, think of the kiddies....

There were lots of young kiddies around where I was sitting... lots of nervous laughs from their parents after some of the spicy language.

i thought it was a good game played in european style conditions good to see the steam coming off the scrum havent seen that since 2004 at stradey park in wales, the weather did keep some people at home but rain wasn't as heavy as it was during the day, shep as usual had a great game, he will be missed in france. hilgendorfs f***** smash him was a classic

yeah Beale and Turner (the golden boys of the tahs) were very average last night I thought.

Beale's first kick got smothered and the first time Lachie got the ball he spilled it. And things didn't seem to get much better for them.

But that is good news for us.

Latest on Hennas is he tweaked a medial and may be out for up to two matches.
Looking at the footage it was a pretty innocuous incident where he possibly just slipped as he ran and passed off as he went down.

the news.com.au report (obviously biased) said Beale had a good game...
i can see you lot thought he was average, he's always reminded me of Gerrard but more agile...

    PS. i don't like Gerrard!

Beale was ineffective & looked like a fish out of water (funny, considering how wet it was!!!). How any rugby journalist can say that he had a good game is beyond me! Obviously looking at things through powder-blue tinted glasses!!!!

Jedi... you seriously would have laughed at the way i was dressed last night. I looked absolutely rediculous. I just kept my head down and hoped I didn't see anyone I knew.

Bumped into Beaver on the way out but took my beanie and hood off before he saw me.

I promise I'll come say hi next time.

Members equity is a great place to watch rugby nice and close, you can hear and just about feel the hits,I'm gonna go back to all the games awesome!!I was curious enough to want to go see Kurtley Beale play, even though he was in the losing team he was impressive always seemed to have plenty of time and space always a mark of a good player.
