[Barra at 6PR]

6PR's Emirates Western Force commentary team is up for a gong at the annual Australian Commercial Radio Awards held in Melbourne later this year. Mick Colliss, Adrian Barich and Mitch Hardy's call of the Emirate's Western Force vs The Hurricanes is a finalist in the Best Sports Event Category. In a category normally dominated by AFL and NRL Grand Final calls, 6PR's commentary captures the passion and drama of the last 60 secs of the game culminating with Subiaco Oval erupting in a cauldron of celebration.

The Australian Commercial Radio Awards are organised by Commercial Radio Australia, on behalf of the radio industry, the Awards include 32 categories, which cover all areas of radio broadcasting including news, talk, sport, music and entertainment. The ACRAs differ from television's Logie Awards, in that they are peer judged with judging panels comprised of industry members.

Beat those AFL nancy boys Barra! The game is hopeless, the players are all drug addicts and the callers are crap...er, I what meant to say was that call you guys did was top notch. it would pretty difficult forany other sporting commentator to beat it.
