WAWRU 2007 Sevens Tournament

The Women's season got underway on Sunday with six teams competing in the 2007 WAWRU Sevens Tournament.

Each of the six teams participated in three matches before the semi-finals. In the first semi Cottesloe defeated Wanneroo 27-0, while in the other semi Kalamunda defeated University 32-0.

Cottesloe went on to take out the Tournament, defeating Kalamunda 22-7 in the Grand Final.

Spectators were treated to some excellent rugby throughout the day, with Phyllis Nopera from Kalamunda awarded the Player of the Grand Final and Angela Doyle from Cottesloe taking out the Player of the Tournament.
