Thread: Best beer in the world?

  1. #16
    Heh heh heh

Its probably quicker and easier to list what you would consider bad beer as I agree with Cully (well to a degree)

Worst beer would have to be warm Joseph Kutze (ask the Kiwis) thats been sitting in the bottom of the bait esky (and you've run out of everything else because your bludging mate has been drinking your grog instead of his poxy JK). The ouside tasted better than what was in the can.

Also homebrew from the kit - doesn't matter how much people try to convince you its the goods, it still taste like home brew. Too much cane sugar.

The Germans are right, the only thing that should be used in making beer is barley malt, yeast, water and hops.

Was given a boutique brew from Victoria to try earlier this year, name was something like "Billygoat..."?
Was like trying to drink a foot of barb wire!!!! Truly terrible, a digrace to hops!
Carlton Cold has been doing the job lately but so long as it's cold I'm not too worried.
Crownies for weddings or other "someone else's paying" events.
And reference to Little Creatures is on the money, good day time drinking down there.
For a dollar a can the WA Gold was a good substitute for water last festive season too.

    Really people

Crownies a beer you have when you don't want a beer. Sort of like lemonade with alcohol.

As for corona - anything you have to put citrus in to make it taste better belongs in the wedding/21st punch catagory

Coopers Sparkling is a ripper. No doubt about that. Boags Strong Arm is another beauty. The Perth stuff (Matilda, Little creatures etc) is nice but we don't see much of it in Esperance.

GirlsDigDirtyRugbyPlayers - Add WA GOLD to your shopping list - it the piss de resistance!!!

Nice drop for watching cricket, a lite beer with a pleasant taste and you can go all day on it.......The only down fall is that it is brewed by, strangely enough, the Carlton and United Brewery in Melbourne!!!!

Then for the serious sessions Hahn premium!!!! Nectar of the Rugby Gods!

    Chilli Beer
I reckon the morning after would live longer in your memory than the night before.

That would be worst than doing the the big lager and curry night when I was in the UK.

I've only just recently recovered from a Guinness and Chilli night in Singapore of all bloody places.... I blame the humidity for my ensuing illness

Certainly anything cold would be good right now, about 45 degrees at the moment up here and not a beer in sight!!!
Had some of the heirtage VB with an old recipe the other day which was suprisingly good as normally I would refer it as Visitors Beer. Only a limited promo though I think so will no doubt run out just as we get a taste for it!

Best beer in the world? That's easy, the one that someone else paid for.

Guinness is my fav beer by far although there's very few beers I won't drink.

I'm pretty generous with my shouts but won't say no if other people are offering.
