    Convinced more people to go to the games than they expected to and played better than we could have hoped in season two, so now we will have to sit in relative discomfort and only be able to see 25% of the pitch for the next ten years...

    I haven't seen a square (ancient) Roman stadium. The whole problem started with that blasted Circo Massimo and Colosseum. Although the Colosseum had better facilities than Subi.

    maybe we could just use the super pit at Kal .. line it with seats .. probably fit 300,000 in comfortably .. upper tiers would need bino's though

    Hmm... OK. Let's consider it.

    Big enough - check (I use binoc's at Subi, so no diff there).
    Close to pubs - check.
    Close to transport - don't need it, it's Kal. Just hop in the back of someone's ute. So, in effect, check.
    Close to membership - hmmm, not-so-check.
    The ground stability might be an issue as well, but nothing a good groundskeeper couldn't fix, I'm sure.
