oh ok. if he does that...thats a huge feat. but ergos and rowing in a boat is different. like guildford in our age has a guy that pulls a 6.40 - more then any wesley rower. yet they suck..

    From The West.com.au

Trinity College has won the annual head of the river rowing regatta at Canning Bridge, reclaiming the trophy they took out in 2004.

Record holder Christ Church, winner of the last two races, was surprisingly beaten into fifth place as Trinity and Wesley fought it out for top honours.

Last year Trinity broke the magical six minute over 2000m but had to settle for second behind Christ Church, who re-wrote the record with a brilliant 5min. 58.3sec.

Today Trinity made up for that lose, winning in 6:04.8 – 1.4sec. clear of Wesley, with Scotch third and Aquinas fourth.

There was little to separate the field over the first 1200m but with 400m to go it was a gruelling tussle between Trinity and Wesley.

Trinity did not have the heaviest crew on the water but had the advantage of three return oarsman from last year’s crew led by captain-of-boat Christian Eyres.

Eyres said last year’s lose motivated the crew not to be on the loosing side again.

The Hammer Cup for the top rowing school also went to Trinity followed by a vastly improved Aquinas, then Christ Church, Scotch, Wesley, Hale and Guildford.

Christ Church won the senior quad, third eight and second eight, with the ten A eight going to Scotch and the 10 A quad to Aquinas.

Hard luck pruc, in Rowing especially second at the HOTR really is first of the losers, though I'm sure the Masters would frown on such a "competitive" attitude.
All the best for next year however, as it will be our 20 year Reunion and 20 since our last win, I am kinda hoping to see Scotch get up...

wesley scotch -[depends how much yr 11s get in] and trinity - strongest crews next year.

    in the 10AVIII
    the results were
scotch - in a new course record
    aquinas
    trinity
    hale
    wesley
    ccgs
    and then guildford

the racce was like this imagine scotch winning by 4 boat length guildoford last by 4 boat lengths and every other crew bow ball too bow ball. ther was only a few seconds between 3rd and 6th. any crew could hav come 3rd - the race illustrated how the season was. scotch out infront and guildofrd out the back then everyone else even.

Once you finish your schooling Beaver, how often do you think you and ya mates will get together and go for an early morning row during daylight savings?

    It Sucks.

    Daylight Savings Also Sucks.

I hope it gets voted out before next time.

Rowers look forwards to summer so that its bright when you leave. Now that DLS is here the only difference between rowing in the winter and rowing in the summer is that its rough in the summer.

    Please end daylight savings. Now.
dark rowing so good. and scary wen u hav a shit coxan and he nearly hits spit posts but decide that you get all the hard stuff done before the heat comes. daylight savings = stay

    "Heat"? At 7am????
Jeez, you kids are getting soft!!!

Spit posts aint fun, put one bloke a couple of years above me in hospital when his Cockheadswain ran into one!
Doesn't do the boat many favours either!!!

Hey Beaver, what's the go, do you fellas still row back from Canning after the Regatta's?
I was down the Shed a couple of weeks ago and all the shells were towed back even though it was a fine day?
Would have gone to the race but it was a tad too far on that hangover
