Before the game I finally parted with the cash for a proper 'playing shirt' to go with the Polo and Training jersey. At last I had the duck in a mixer on my back. I declared to my wife that it was officially my lucky shirt and that we would win. After Goperth's non-try she showed a weakening of faith, I touched my lucky shirt and just smiled at her.
I probably will take it off before I go to work tomorrow, but maybe not. I can wash it overnight on Thursday so it's luck is fresh for the Reds.
Thus starts superstition. But what a way to start it. I can't wait to see 'Wazza' the guy who left the seat in front of me before the end. Whenever there is a tight game in future I'll throw him out of the ground to ensure we win.
Thank you team, every one of you, for one of the outstanding moments of my life. It's difficult to image how the Final is going to top that feeling when we win it - because we will win it - perhaps not this year but soon. Very soon. We have Faith.
