OK.....the truth must be told!

I was sitting right next to Ecky and Nick (not his real name BTW) last night and I feel compelled to spring to his defence. Ecky is clearly stirring the pot here and is sublimating his own intense and frankly unhealthy dislike of poor old Matt through his friend who he calls by the pseudonym ‘Nick’.

‘Nick’, like many of us, has fleeting moments of angst when “the Henj” is off his game (which admittedly is more often than we all would like). He would not, however, resort to such puerile actions. All he was guilty of is laughing (raucously) at the mere suggestion (not by him) of such a banner being made. I am sure that I speak for ‘Nick’, Ecky and indeed all true Force devotees by saying that we indeed wish “the Henj” a stellar season – for the hopes of the Force rest, to no small extent, on his broad shoulders. God Bless you Matt and may you prove all your knockers wrong! I will be the first to give "the Henj" a standing ovation if, nay when, his game finally clicks into gear.

There must be something about Henjack thats ok or shows potential. I think if he was crap and didnt have any chance to develop why would Mitchell and co persist with him. A (purple) diamond in the rough perhaps?

I'd like to see O'Young at 9 for Force but i'm sure he would have got more game time at nine in the prelims though, if he was going to be the goto man at 9.

Mitchell is a good coach, I suspect that would go for the best option possible in every position.

As for the alleged booing by supporters at their own players, its not on. We like it when players make themselves accessible to the public but you cant expect much of that if you heckle your own.

Those who are doing the Booing are letting the Force down by creating division amongst us, it should be a "all for one, one for all" belief in your team, and the weakest link in the chain should be supported, not rubbished...I have been critical of Henjacks performance last year and believe some of it was justified, but going from comments posted he didn`t have as bad a game as some of you are making out, given the positive posts i have read, so maybe we need to wait until the season begins before we rush out and hang the man, as everyone knows, and has been spouting in the media, it is a trial game with the idea being we can make an odd mistake or two in this arena, before the main event begins, like the slack cut for Digby, or Gits, or Sharpie even, so lets stop vilifying Hennas now and let the season begin, and for christs sake stop booing our own, That is the lowest of the low...
