There were apparently 1000's of supporters who made the trip - How far from Ulster to Reading?

As the crow flies about 280 miles but as JK says its that wee stretch of water that gets in the way. Lucky for me this was almost a home match so only 1hr 30min on the train but for about 3,000 fellow ulster travellers it involved a flight to the mainland (about 1hr) then train/bus/car to the stadium. I know it will seem like popping out to the shop compared to the distances that you travel in Oz but what makes it hard and therefore impressive so many made it is the difficulty to find flights, trains and hotels that can cope with so many on these big match days...let alone the cost!

It was a great day, albeit the result didn't go our way. We managed to turn Reading into a party town for the day, the supporters did the club proud even if the team failed to turn up.
