    Bloody Slow Cup

Been waiting all year for this and now I'm stuck down at the farm

    Rugby WA:

Emirates Western Force players Lachlan MacKay and Matt Hodgson will travel to Newman in WA's Pilbara region to get behind this year's Bloody Slow Cup.

The match is an annual clash between local Australian and New Zealand police officers and raises money for the partners and families of officers killed in the line of duty.

The game will kick-off at around 7.20pm this Saturday (28 October) at Boomerang Oval in Newman (Lachie and Hodgo will not be playing!) and will follow an Emirates Western Force coaching clinic and a ladies touch football curtain raiser between Australia and The World!!

Lachie and Matt will also attend a ceremony to remember the four officers killed in the Newman air crash in 2001, and later they will appear at the Newman shopping centre.

I have heard at previous occassions they have had over a thousand people watching.
Bare in mind that these mining towns are full of Eastern Staters and Kiwis (and other Rugby Nation ex-pats too) so such things are normally well supported.
I'm sure it would be a great event, just miffed I can't make it

I decided not to risk the trip as we had another huge electrical storm up here and if anything happened in the work ute, well trying to explain why i was 300kms from work would have been rather difficult. Oh well, maybe next year
